Strand Outlook

Has anyone successfully patched a strand outlook house light control in the EOS. if so how is it done.

Parents
  • The house light controls, as far as I know, are just stations - so they would not be patched.

Could you give some information about what you are trying to achieve?

  • I would like to achieve house light control through my EOS as 1 or 2 channels.

  • Unfortunately that's something way beyond what can be worked out on a forum, it depends entirely on the specific details of your system and how it was installed.

First of all you'll need to talk to the installer of your houselight system and find out whether DMX or sACN output from the Eos can be injected into the houselight system in an appropriate way.
If that's possible then you may need some additional hardware (ETC and/or Strand Outlook) and/or Strand Outlook programming time.

If that cannot be done, but your houselight dimmers are currently controlled using a DMX output from the Outlook system then you may be able to put a DMX Gateway in the middle to HTP-merge that DMX output with Eos' sACN output, and pass the resultant merged DMX onto the houselight dimmers.
    - This way would give you the individual houselight dimmer DMX address(es) in a 'spare' sACN Universe.

If neither of those can be done then it might still be possible, however you'll need someone to come to your site to work out if there is a suitable method.
