I have had my new Gio system up and running since the end of August. We are now in the middle of the run of our second show on the console and an interesting issue has arisen. The problem is that the touch screens seem to become unresponsive (both the two built in and one external ELO) and when I move the mouse (using the mouse supplied with the console) the cursor will jump back to display A (right hand built in).
When the cursor jumps, it seems to always end up on the center line of the display somewhere in the lower half (in the CIA). I can click on UI elements on the screen with the mouse, but not by touching them.
Fortunately, at this point the issue has not affected cue playback or any other portion of the system. So I haven't had any issues running the show, but if this persists it is going to make teching the next show a real mess.
On the suggestion of the person who provided us with training after the install, I re-calibrated all the touch screens. The problem went away for a while, but has since returned.i have tried cleaning the displays with the cloth provided with the console, again, no effect.
It seems to be a somewhat intermittent problem (or I just don't notice it every day), and it doesn't seem to happen right away. I mean, I can come in for the show, turn on the console, navigate with the touch screens through my preshow checks, and then later on it will start acting as I described.
So, if anyone has some insight that would be appreciated. I would be happy to provide any more details that I can if needed.
