New GIO

HI,

We have just replaced our Strand 520i with a Gio...

we also have a Grand MA at our main theatre.

So, can anyone tell me is there and easy way to build effects?

I have watched the You Tube vids etc.

I am wanting to no how to build a basic dimmer chase, but want to build it with the colours mixed how I like them.

So far the desk seems a little bit un user freindly to build effects etc compaired to Strand and Grand MA.

  • Hi,

    with double-click on EFFECT, you are in the Effecteditor.
    Effect 914 is a standard Hue-Saturation-Fade. (Effect 910 > 914 are Coloreffects)
    For a simple Dimmerchase, you can write in the Commandline:
    Effect 1 Type Linear Enter.
    Now you have a Dimmerchase with different parameter for grouping, timing, skale...

    Go to LIVE (the yellow command line).
    Now you can give your channels the effect you want.

    channel 1 thru 10 effect 1 Enter.
    channel 1 thru 10 effect 914 Enter.

    Now your effect are running.


    I think, a good idea for you is, check the website from ETC for your country.
    There are free Training-sessions for basic and advanced users.
