Moving my WiFi router

Here's my system:

- Ion at rear orchestra, connected via Net 2 to a local switch, one port that has a cheap Netgear router connected and that is sitting on the console table.  The local switch then connects via dedicated Cat 5 to the system.

-  Backstage is the Electronics Control Rack, with the e-net patchbay and a Dell PoE 32 port switch, which has all the Net2 running thru it, to the console, dimmer racks, node's, etc...

The Netgear works fine and was/is reliable at allowing a constant WiFi with my aRFR app on my Galaxy tablet as well as on my former phone, an HTC with aRFR.

Since switching to an iPhone 4S the iRFR app cannot maintain a steady connection.  Thinking the range - 200 ft line-of-sight mostly, might be an issue.

Is it as simple as relocating the Netgear router to backstage and plugging into the PoE switch ?.  Will it be plug-and-play or do I have to re-configure it all over again ?.

Thanks in advance
