Ion Fader wing issue

Ok, so I attached the fader wing to the Ion (universal 2x20) as per the instructions from ETC and when I turn the board on it doesn't recognize the wing. It appears that the wing isn't getting power. The lights don't light up while the board is booting up. I even tried attaching it to the other side of the board and nothing. Anyone?
