We utilize the USB Ion/GIO Client Dongle to provide connectivity to our GIO for visiting designers. Our current designer is using a Mac Book with up to date Client Software and connecting via his onboard wireless to our dedicated lighting network. He can connect fine but is experiencing dropped connectivity to the console at about every 5 to 10 minutes. Wireless signal strength is high and he's not moving around when he looses the connection.
The network is solid. We know that since we also have a RVI connected to the console via hard line at the same time and it never looses connection.
The only wrinkle we can find in the puzzle is that he's also connected to the internet via a hard-line Ethernet cable. Our suspicion is that when his computer goes to check e-mail on the alternate network that is when he's loosing the console.
Thoughts or experiences with this issue would be appreciated.
