Colour wheel snaps - Mac250 etc

Ion 9.12

Hi, I think this has been up before but can't find the solution now.

I have Mac250s patched as non extended. I want them to roll from one colour to the next on the colour wheel. The profile makes them snap to the next cues colour.

What do I need to change for this and where do I change it?

thanks,

Darren

  • Open the virtual ML controls.  Just to the right of the color picker and swatches, you can select continuous or snap.  See if that's where your problem is.

You should also be able to see this on the board - select your channel, hit color, and then one of the encoders should show something about mode select.  Might have to hold down the encoder to see modes.  I'm looking at OLE so don't know exactly how it shows up on the board.

Ran into similar problem with VL1000.  Had to post color time from a tile in CIA to get timed change.

    Good luck!

  • I've had to add values for the focus, color, beam, and gobo timing channels to all the V*L profiles so I have access to them - it really made me wish for the kind of text-based profile editor the Hog 2 and GMA1 had so I could copy and paste.

Still not as annoying as working with a fixture that simply will not permit timed changes on its color wheel, but that's another story.
