Moving ML in Linear Movement

Is there a way during programming to force a moving light to move in a straight line instead of an arc between two given points? I'm fairly new to the Gio and my old console had the option to change between linear and polar movement and I can't seem to find something similar. If it makes a difference I'm using Mac 2K Performances.

  • this would require that the console knows the XYZ position of the light wouldn't it ? if the light is positioned overstage the pan/tilt movement from downstage left to upstage right would be very different to a movinglight being positioned somewhere front of house. since this is not (yet) included in the eos software, i think you have to build it manually...

if it helps: if you want to use a curve for your pan/tilt movement (instead of a linear fade), you have to record the pan/tilt information into a seperate cue part and assign your curve to that cue part.
