Hello. I am trying to stop a step fx then record the live state in a cue. Seems that the fx dips out before being taken over by the cue. Any suggestions on how to do this gracefully..? Thank You

What exactly are you trying to accomplish? There might be a more elegant solution if we knew what the desired result is.

working with 4 rows of 8 colorblaze trx on 4 pipes above stage. have written a series of step chases to see moving paths on floor. Would like to stop the step fx at a certain point in it 'smsequence then record that exact look in a cue. I have the desired levels in the cue. would like the fx not to dip as the q takes over. think it might be a matter finessing the timing. I am using Stop and Hold to exit the FX.
Copy the effect into another effect. Make the time between steps 20 sec. or so. When you get to the desired step dump the look to a cue
Hmmm. that's interesting. I'll give it a try. Been trying a few things off line and also found that taking the next cue stops the FX. Once I am back live on the rig I'm going to time the fx , see where I want to stop it and put a hang on the previous cue of the same time. Worth trying both . Thanks to you both for your input. I'll let you know what ends up working. mtm
