Hi. There is some strange bug involving this. When I called ETC, they had me start up the ion with only the montior I wanted to be primary attached, then shut down and add the second monitor. After this, the desired montior becomes the primary one.
I agree with Rick that something odd is occurring.
We have an Ion with dual ELO touch screens that we are constantly unplugging, re-plugging, booting, shutting down, with none of the problems you are seeing.
Thus I'd be having a long talk with Tech Support to get it resolved.
