Greyed Out Parameter in Fixture Editor

I'm working on a library and noticed that the first parameter is greyed out making it un-editable. The rest of the parameters are fine and I can edit them like normal. Does anybody know why this is the case and how I can make changes to the ranges of that parameter? I have tried copying and the same situation persists.

  • Hi there,

There are two reasons that I know of when this happens. The first is when there is a lamp control attached to that channel. Check Lamp Controls {S1} and see if anything is present -- you may want to temporarily delete it. The second instance is when there is special programming done on the fixture to make it do something outside of normal possibility (i.e., have a single address affect more than one attribute, do mode switching and parameter adjustment, etc... - all of these are things you couldn't create or modify in the fixture editor). The latter would unfortunately mean that you cannot edit it, and would need to start from scratch for that fixture (or copy one that doesn't have that range on it).
