I'm using a ETC Gio. On Saturday I programmed some of the show to start the tech. Q0.5 is Preset - Q1 takes out the house lights and add some more lights to the state on stage. For some reason even though I programmed Q1 to take out the houselights they are still staying on. The house lights were also on a sub master which was down at 0% - and not set to be an exclusive sub master.
I have lots of houselights all patched to the same channel.
I went into blind mode to try and type Channel 600 @ 0 (the house lights channel) into Q1 and noticed that the channel intensity information for the house lights was in green - so it knows it should be fading down but it also had a intensity value of 100. I changed this to 0 in blind mode. I then went back into the cue. It still didn't take out that channel.
I tired to update the cue with Channel 600 @ 0 in live mode as well but it still wouldn't fade out when I went from Q0.5 to Q1. It was almost as if the channel had been parked on - but it hadn't been.
I deleted my submaster with the houselights on just to see if it would help but it didn't.
I tried both updating cue 0.5 and updating Q1 and re-recording both of the cues as well with the house light information but it still wouldn't switch them off. When running from Q0.5 to Q1 the houselights wouldn't fade out. However whilst I was doing it live the lights were responding correctly. I.E I would type channel 600 @ 0. House lights would go out. I would type Chan 600 Update Q1. House lights would still be out. Then I would GO TO CUE 0.5 and run into Q1 - but the house lights would not fade out.
If I turn the houselights off using the command line and just typing 600 @ 0 it will turn them off as expected so they are responding to the desk commands just fine - only not in a cue.
All other channels and parameters are doing as expected apart from this one channel.
The weird thing if If I go into cue 4 for example or any cue after cue 1 which all have the houselights out in and if I then go back using the STOP/BACK key above GO into cue 1 the houselights aren't on.
Its almost as if something else on the desk is overriding the cues and telling the houselights to stay on, as if it were on an exclusive sub - only it definitely isn't.
Has anyone experience anything like this before? Obisouly led to quite a frustrating start to the tech if the most basic start of turning out the house lights didn't work.
