Can I convert a hog3 file to something etc compatible? Ascii or .esf?

There is no way to convert a Hog3 show to Ion- despite any similarity in file name, the file structures are not similar at all.

Unfortunately, the Ion show would have to be built from scratch.  If you need to do this, you can load the Hog show into Hog PC and use it for a reference for palettes and colors, etc.

Thanks Todd.  Unfortunately I have a mac and cannot use Hog pc.  I really just want a print out of the cues, but that has been a difficult task.

Does the hog support exporting ASCII?  The Ion supports importing ASCII files.   From personal experience, you should be able to import submasters, patch, and cues with little problems.  I have had problems with multi part cues when imported from other consoles.  I have no luck when importing a show with intelligent lighting.  I usually have to rebuild all of the palettes.

As far as we are aware, Hog files do not export to ASCII.  Until they do that, there is really little we can do with those files.  (Disclaimer... this information could be old... so if anyone knows differently, please feel free to comment).  We would love to do the work to connect the ASCII dots for a Hog import!!
