saving fixture profiles

Greetings. 

We have several different types of Moving Light and LED fixtures that we use on a regular basis.  Patching them into the ION is not a problem but it is time consuming.  We've tried saving the profiles in the "show favorites" file, but anytime we start a new show that file seems to clear.  Is there a way to set up a default for a new show that automatically includes our standard fixture profiles in the "show favorites" library or do I have to set up a generic show file that we go to each time?

    You can copy the fixture profiles from any existing show file into your current one as follows:

    • Browser > File > Merge
    • Choose the 'source' show file, [Select]
    • Pick the "Fixtures" tile.

    All the fixture profiles from the chosen file have now been copied into your current show.

    An alternative is to have a "base" show file and open that when starting a new show, but merging is easier as you can do that at any time.
