TRX profile

Hello,

I would like on Colorblast/Colorblaze TRX units that the color picker either a) changes the data to match the color or b) not put any data like it does on the CTO wheel of other fixtures. It is a dangerous place to be because it looks like it has changed the data using the picker, but it has no info for white.

Thank you.

  • In rereading, I shouldn't write when sleepy.  What I am referring to is the white cell.  Thanks.

  • It is by design that Eos doesn't control the White color parameter when using the Color Picker.  The default value is 100% which is the same as all LED parameters in Eos.  If you don't want it on, or want it as a lower value then you will have to control it manually.  If you prefer it to always be off, then  edit the fixture profile so that it defaults to a home value of 0 and not 255.

  • It defaults to whatever value it was already at, being no change, but appears that the value has changed by putting the "G R***" symbol, but creates potential of messing up. For example: q1 fixture in 5/1 q2 fixture in mix of red full white 50 rest at zero. Q3 fixture in 5/1. Now a) look at data, white is at 50 in q3. Now goto q2, put fix at enter. Partial block appears on q3, but the white at 50 makes it a different color. Cleanup q3 and it puts white at enter. This is a different color. Therefore, white should not be included as part of the color picker, or the color picker should put white at 0.

On the same vein, looking at any fixture with a color wheel or CTO. The theory should be the same process out of the console. Either leave the parameters it does not change, like it does now, or put those levels to zero.

I hear rumor that there is larger color theories on the table in Wisconsin, but think of these types of things as we move forward.

    Thanks,

    Jay
