iRFR 2.0

Will there be an update to the iPhone / iPad RFR App to incorporate some of the new changes and features of 2.0

I asked some time ago to incorporate some direct select functionality to the RFR with no response from ETC

I now think from a designer and production electrician point of view to be able to use the magic sheet functionality on the iPad would be a very desirable feature so you can reference data while on the move on stage etc and for reference at the production desk watching what the programmer is doing.

Also to use the multi touch gestures which incorporated into an Ion network would give the multi touch option that Ion users are missing.

I would be interested in comments from ETC as to if the App will be developed further and would like to see if other users would support this functionality.

    As posted elsewhere in these forums, multitouch is not supported in Windows XP, thus is not supported on the Ion. You could however get around this by using a windows 7 or 8 machine as a client next to your Ion.

    Thank you, I have done this before running my Mac as a client however I just feel using an Ipad as an RFR remote would be a much simpler and quicker solution and as a designer / production electrician I find myself walking around the stage to focus etc so to have the use of magic sheets on the Ipad while on the move would be of huge benefit to me.

    At the moment I am carrying an Ipad, a hard copy of the plan and usually a focus note bible as well. to be able to get a lot of this info onto magic sheets and just carry an Ipad would be the dream.
