Real Time Cues/Macros

I have a GIO (which I'm still playing with off site) and am wondering if anyone has any experience with "real time cues or macros?

I'd like to create a cue or macro that would turn on my house/work lights on at a given time each day. I assume this would require the board be left on 24/7 however am not sure how to implement such a cue/macro.

I see that there's a start up macro button in set up however, my guess, is that this is to program a macro that operates once the console turned on. Of course, I could be wrong.

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

  • you're right, the startup macro is a macro that fires when the console is being started.

what you're looking for is Show Control: Display > More SK > ShowControl.

Create a new eventlist: Event 1/ Type RTC Enter (RTC= Real Time Clock)
Create an Event inside this List: Event 1 Time 1945 Days 1 Thru 7 Enter (this event will execute at 7:45pm on all days of the week)
give it a thing to do: Event 1 Macro 5 Enter (or cue or sub)
activate the eventlist: Event 1/ Internal Enter

when having the console locked (Shift+Esc) some things will note execute, e.g. Foreground Macros

    have fun, ueli

  • Ueli,

Thanks so much for the insight and info. I will certainly play with this more.

Two questions: setting internal ( I assume this to be the clock) does this negate the need to keep console running (powered up?) Once created, I assume an event can be deleted however have found no proper command line structure to do so.
