Greetings,
Is there a way to note the colour of conventional Source 4 lamps so that it shows up on the magic sheet? I wanted the channels to link to intensity and colour, but this only seems to be able to show white fill when at 100%.

I'm going to guess that this is all you will get for conventionals.
The console doesn't really deal with a single fixture unless that happens to be the only fixture in a channel and even then it doesn't "know" it as there's no database or reference as to what gel happens to be in a fixture, as there is with say, a scroller.
I cheat by making the border of a channel box an approx. color and add Text 3 as data from Lightwright with the gel number
Hi Guys,
This has been a very common request. In the next release following 2.0.1 we plan to add the ability to modify the link behavior so that you can link to channel color and channel intensity independently. That means, for example, that you can set the fill color to red and link just the intensity. When the channel fades, the fill color will transition between black @ 0% and red @ 100%
RND 0022148: Magic Sheets - color linking should have separate toggles for linking color and intensity

Could there also be a way to use the gel picker to select an items color?

Hi Josh,
Yes, that is on the list as well :)
RND 0022152: Magic Sheets - item color picker improvements
1. include a list of recently used colors
2. include a "reset to default" button
3. include a gel picker
Thanks Chris
That'll be useful

Yes, it will be great. Thanks You!
Out of curiosity is this something that will be dealt with at the patch level or magic sheet level?
I can see this easily being addressed by being able to tell Eos, through the attributes area in the patch screen, what colour filter has been placed in a conventional. Then the magic sheet would just be referencing it the same way it does a scroller for a given channel would it not?

Hi Anthony,
The plan is just to be able to link to intensity so the colour fades to whatever you have specified in your magic sheet design.

Anthony makes a good point though. Storing the color in patch, means it could proliferate to other displays eventually. There's no reason we can't do both. If there is no color defined in Patch, then the we'll use the color defined by the magic sheet item. Thanks for the input! :)
If you decide to store the color in patch, consider also storing other features such as gobo patterns.
This almost sounds like a multi parameter tombstone would be the solution to this, Or creating a custom fixture would work.
the thing i would like to know is in the magic sheet, the tombstone symbol seems to reference a few things like IFCB attributes are displayed in the bottom of the tombstone. would there be a way to create our own symbol that could refrence those at the symbol level and not have to add them in as text or attributes after we place the symbol.
