Hello all,
I've hit an unusual problem with the EOS. After patching a conventional, the error 'Patch limit exceeded! Channels 615 and higher will not be output'. I've capped my channels at 900, so I'm not sure what limit I may have hit.
Any ideas?

Though you can have lets say 4000 individual channels on an EOS 4K that is 4000 single parameter fixtures. You could also i have a single 4000 parameter fixture and only have use of one channel. So my guess is, and i might misunderstand the whole concept anyway, is that what ever you have patched after 615 exceeds the output capabilities of your console.....

Ed is correct - the output (parameter) count is what is most important. For example, a 2K Gio can only output 2048 DMX/sACN/Art-Net addresses. It doesn't matter if you set the number of (control) channels higher or lower.
Lower channel numbers are prioritised over higher ones in the case that you exceed the output limit in your patch.
