Custom Magic Sheet Symbols

Hi Patrick,

This functionality is working in the current development build, so you can expect to see it in the first beta version of 2.1.0 :)

I've seen this come through on a couple report builds - but I still can't get a 3rd layer to display on a custom magic sheet symbol.

Is there a naming convention of something I missed?

Yes, we added several new tags that will allow you to layer items within an SVG symbol.  I still need to update the wiki page about it.

"etc_symbol_base0" = uses fill color intensity link (not color)
"etc_symbol_base" = uses fill color and intensity link
"etc_symbol_base2" = uses fill color intensity link (not color)

"etc_symbol_outline0" = uses outline intensity link (not color)
"etc_symbol_outline" = uses outline color and intensity link
"etc_symbol_outline2" = uses outline intensity link (not color)

I was just thinking I would love a couple more layers.

I've been working on transferring some of the open source icon sets so we can use them in magic sheets. Good to know now :D

Curious if there would be a tag that would respond to neither the color or the int link?

Are their specific layers that we can use to create buttons?

Something like a base look and a on click look?

That would be so sweet.

I also re-opened this SCR to add tags for layers that are visible but unaffected by color/intensity linking:

Just while I'm on my icon and symbol theming spree. It would be great if there was an option in the magic sheet editing section to be able to change the colour of each indiviidual layer and not just etc_symbol_base & etc_symbol_outline.

While we're all spilling our MS wishes: could there be a way to define that a symbol should by default be e.g. a channel object and get the same fields like the stock symbols do, or to be a macro by default, etc...  

Any news on RND 0025865, I'm on another symbol drawing spree. Would love to incorporate those layers into it. Even if it's not implemented yet I could atleast export a ton of these symbols if I new the layer name.

The 3rd layer is in.  We've actually setup a drop box with quite a few symbols in it over on the Facebook group.
