The EOS I am currently running seems to be a bit slow and sluggish when editing cue data. The problem seems to only present when adding new info to the cue (eg: ch5 @ 50, ch3 @ BP5, etc). It does not matter if I make these updates live or blind, but once the update command is executed (when in live) or the command line terminated (when in blind) the desk does not respond for approx 6 to 8 seconds.
This is particularly frustrating, firstly, because I have to wait 8 seconds for the desk to think after punching in a command which only took 3 seconds, thereby making programming time take alot longer than it should. Secondly, as the show is very cue heavy, I often can't update during a rehearsal because I am waiting for the console to process.
I'm pretty sure this isn't meant to be the way the desk should operate. Does anyone what might be causing these problems and if there is anything I can do to fix this problem?
FYI - this sluggishness only occurs when changing or adding data to a cue. If I am updating referenced data, (eg: I adjust the pan of ch 3 which is in a focus pallet, and then [update] {update all} [enter]) there is no problem.
