EOS Family manuals

Just discovered version 2.0 (actually 2.01) is out.  Shows everyone how up to date I have been.  Anyway can't wait.  Looks like fantastic changes, especially the Magic Sheets.  I've also been begging to change the Playback Status screen to auto save the column widths whenever they are changed so we don't have to keep fixing them every boot up or use snapshots.  Well looks like that might have been changed so thanks bunches on that one if it's true.

Here is my question.  Been asking for the Manual to be included on the EOS Family consoles like the Congo family.  Any word if that is even being considered or not?  It sure would be great to be able to search items directly and not have to have a computer available in those times of need.

That way whenever there is a change it can be made with version upgrades and always be up to date.

Just sayin :-)

Update.  Just installed 2.0.1 on my ION and nope, the columns still go back to factory settings after shutting down and rebooting.  Funny, when I was shown how to use Snapshot on an EOS and the columns were resized they came back as resized.  So back to having to use snapshots on consoles to save column sizes.

  • That's good news Anne.

BTW - for a long time I have been asking if the Playback Status screen in the EOS family can automatically save whenever it is modified (sizing column widths) so when the consoles are shut down and rebooted the screen comes back to the desired settings.  I have been told to use Snapshots to get around that.  I use an ION which would allow that however my Church has two Element consoles and we are kind of tired of having to resize the columns every time we use the console.  We use the Notes column a lot to see what cue does what because sometimes we go out of order.

So I finally learned how to do Snapshots on my ION and also discovered they don't exist on the Element.

Any suggestions other than creating a Magic Sheet with buttons large enough to hold all the notes in all the cues?

Sure would like to see it save like other views already do.
