ION update library

Not quite sure what you mean and I was incorrect stating it is in the Favorites window.  It's in the fixtures list (black and yellow) screen where they are shown with Update Lib at the bottom in either white or gray.  Every fixture goes gray after selecting Update Lib except that one fixture that goes right back to white when I scroll back to it.

I am in the habit of saving shows every time I finish because I never remember little changes that I might have made along the way and want to make sure they are there next time.

But still don't know how save has any effect on this.  Again, scroll down the list of fixtures and watch the Update Lib go white or gray depending on the fixture.  Select it when it's white, scroll to the next fixture, do the same and when done scroll back up and all of them are gray except that one fixture.  Last night I found another one in another show file that won't stay gray.

what i meant was this: if you have s showfile with a certain moving light that needs updating and you click Update Lib, it does NOT mean that in all other showfiles the personality is updated and it does NOT mean, that you can leave the showfile without File > Save, open it again and the updateing would have survived.

but with your second description i agree that's not what it's all about. i'm clueless, someone else would have to chime in...

What fixture is it that is continually it can be udpated with  the {Update Lib} in white?

The fixture that has been doing it for a long time on my ION is the SGM Victory II 250 16B.

I don't know what the other one was that I found in another show file the other day and I'm not sure if it wasn't one I found on an Element at my church after updating that software.  That comes more to mind than being on my ION which I have been working on for a few days learning Magic Sheets.  If you would like me to go there in the next few days and find it I will do so.
