OFF OFF feature

last night we had David Byrne & St. Vincent. The LD had a Grand MA. there is a feature called OFF OFF which i really liked. if you had several faders up & effects running or what ever, if you wanted to see whats running  you would hit OFF OFF. a screen would pop up with options to zero out what you didnt want running. I am not a grand ma op. but i really like this feature. how would one do this on the EOS? is it possible?

  • In flexi Active in Live table it would show everything that is active and where it is getting its instruction from....

  • Hi

Working on the Ion machine, and tried to OFF some channels

    What did I do:

I wanted to record only channel 16 on a fader, so I pressed

16@full rec only Sub 16 enter

Sub 16 enter, change mode to IntensityMaster and Exclusive

    Loaded sub 16 into faderwing.

I was hoping that this instruction recorded a flashbutton for this channel, and that it was kept out of my programming while on.

    But it was not.

So I : delete Sub 16 enter, enter

Sub 16 does no longer exist (i guessed)

Also I deleted it from the wing by using Shift-Load.

Now it should be gone (i thought), but it's not.

Irritated I made a new sub 16 which stated channel 16 out, rec-only sub 16, enter.

Deleted sub 16 again, but now channel 16 is still at 0

And I can't get ridd of it !. All outputs are down, (I've checked Flexi's Active), editor is empty and effects are not running.

But still in Active flexi channel 16=@0

Where in the h#ll is this item stored???

And how do I really, really OFF everything, making sure there are no hidden cuelists, effects, presets or sequences running?

    Thanks in advance.

  • is About telling you, where the source of the 0% is?

  • Hi Justin,

What color was channel 16 at in Live? Knowing the color helps us know the source.

Another useful resource is the About screen. Select the channel (Channel 16 Enter) and press About. In the current values tab, it will list the sub number, cue number, or other source of control for the channel.

A quick way I use to clear everything:

    - Go to Cue Out Enter (releases ALL cue data, LTP information, and manual data)

    - Sub 1 Thru Full Home Enter (homes all submasters. Home is important for inhibitive subs, as it sends them to full (i.e., not inhibiting anything).

    Going the extra mile:

    - Park Enter (clears all parked channels)

    - Address Park Enter (clears all parked addresses)

[If you use the Capture feature at all, there could be a few more steps to what's listed above.]

    Thanks!

  • The color of the tile is light-green. "about" did not give any results back of usage, and so I don't know the source. But still it is set to 0. And if I do the whole proces again, and set it to, say, 25, it will be 25 without any reference of where or what.

It's all with the latest software verson, by the way.
