CIA macros and other macro questions

O.k., so I have a couple questions/issues regarding macros that I was wondering if the community could help me with.  Before I get into it, I'm using an Ion console running version 2.0.

So this is what I'm trying to do ... I have an inexperienced, board op so what I'm trying to do is create a macro to close and possibly lock the CIA, the less information, the better and less distracting for the op (because the CIA is open when you power up by default, unless I've missed some way to make it not appear).  I've tried building the macro in Live, however, that doesn't seem to work.  So then I tried to build it in the macro editor, and that doesn't seem to work either.  I was hitting the Display button which collapses the CIA, however, the result is not duplicated when I run the macro (either in a cue or manually) and using the collapse arrow on screen is not recorded into the macro.  I've even tried inputting the command through the keyboard using the F5 key which closes the browser (and is recorded into the macro) however when the macro run the CIA still stays open.  What am I missing?  I know you can create a macro that acts upon the CIA as I have done it ... I have a power off macro that access the CIA.

Also, like I mentioned above, along the same lines.  Is there a way to create a macro to lock the CIA and then one to unlock the CIA?  The reason for this is because I have the board op using a macro to power off the console at the end of the show (this macro states [GO To Cue] [Out] [Enter] then accesses the CIA to power off the console).  However, I have noticed that if the CIA is locked, the "power off" portion of my macro does not run, so i would need a macro to unlock the CIA at the end of the show before the "power off" macro runs.

Still on the macro thing, I have a start up macro that strikes the lamps on our moving lights however, every time I power up the console, the macro runs but the lamps are not struck.  The macro has to be run manually or put into a cue in order for the lamps to strike?  Has anyone else experienced this or is this just unique to me?  The moving lights that this macro is acting up (or not) are Elation DesignSpots.  Just as a note, yes the channels on those movers are parked so they get power as soon as the console powers up, however the lamps are set not to strike on power up of the fixture, but to wait for a command from the console to prevent unnecessary time being taken off the lamp life.

Finally, can you now assign a macro to a sub? Yet?  Wasn't sure if that issue was ever resolved.

Is there a resource for user created macros for the Ion?  Similarly to how there was a resource for user created moving light personalities for the Express console?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice.
