Ion - program single Atomic 3000 flash to cue stack

I'm a newbie on the Ion.

Atomic manual says changing intensity triggers the effect. This works in soft controls on the monitor every time, but not when recorded as a Snap cue in the stack. Or there's a timing delay before the first pulse depending on shutter & duration settings.

Any thoughts?

I'm trying to simulate a sudden lamp failure on stage with a big Atomic 3000 flash and all other LX dim momentarily and then recover.

  • Find rate and duration for strobe that you like. Record into part 2 with a time of 0 delay, whatever you want. Put rest of cue into whatever timing you want in part 1.

record previous cue as an auto follow to the strobe cue. Either put atomic as a discreet 0 count or in part 2 again with time zero.

as long as rate is 0 it should only flash once.
