Power button not working to power off Ion ?

After updating one of our ions to version 2.0.1 the console no longer acknowledges the power button when trying to shutdown the board. If I change back to version 1.9 the power button works for shutting down the board. After reloading version 2.01 still had the problem with the power button not working to shut down the board. I am pretty sure on our other ion the power button worked for shutdown but I need to double check that now. The boards are not connected in anyway and they are in separate spaces.

I was wondering if anyone else has had the issue or is there some place where the power button might be disabled for shutting down the board?

    This is a known issue -- to clarify for other readers of the thread (EDIT: updated with more information):

    From version 1.9.11 to current, tapping the power button twice will start a shutdown from the Eos Family software.  In version 2.0.1, this behavior stopped working. We are looking into it and hope to have a solution soon.

    In the meantime, please use the software commands from the Browser (Displays->Browser->Power Off Console) or the shell (Shutdown button) to safely turn off the console. Also, due to technical restrictions, consoles that use the newer operating system (Gio, Ti, RPU3, and RVI3) cannot use the power button to shut down - the software method is the only recommended way.

    Pressing and holding the power button and/or flicking the switch on the back are not recommended and can cause system issues down the road, like hard disk corruption.
