Network Issue with Client Software

I can't get my laptop talking on the network.

Everything else on the network is working perfectly, including the RVI and my assistant's laptop.

When I open the EOS Client Software (with dongle attached) it doesn't see any other devices on the network, but it shows up on the Ion's diagnostics page. So the Ion can see it, but it can't see the ion (or any gateways or anything.)

Firewalls are off, have restarted router, computer, etc. I'm not sure exactly what is going on here as two days ago it was working perfectly, albeit on a different show (but the same and most recent software on all ends)

Macbook Pro

Thanks!

  • The Windows firewall is never completely disabled. Try adding EOS.exe to the list of programs allowed through the firewall. Multicast UDP is blocked even when the firewall is disabled.

If you have multiple NICs try disabling all but the one you are using to connect to the lighting network. It shouldn't be necessary but it removes a variable from the equation.

Oops. Just noticed you are on a MacBook.  Never mind
