2 questions for Ion Uses.. Finding if a channel is used and taking everything to half

Dear Ion Users,

I have 2 questions that I have not been able to find easy answers to.  I am new to using computer boards and am just a little frustrated with entering cues digitally vs analog using actual physical faders.  Needless to say, I set many levels using the wheel.

So, here are my questions.

1. Often, I need to know if I have used a particular channel in any of the cues that I have written. Short of executing every cue and watching a particular channel on the display, how can I quickly determine if I have used a channel in any of the cues I have written?

2. This seems like such a stupid question, I almost hate to ask it but I just can't figure it out.  I have set 10-15 levels and various channels.  I want to take the whole look down by say 50%.  In an analog world, I would just take the master down to half and that would be that.  How do I do this on the Ion? The only way I currently know is to individually take each channel down. See what I mean. This should be so easy to figure out and I am stumped.

Thanks in advance for any help or guffaws I am about to receive.
