using Reverse with a Linear effect will mirror the diagram. so it does reverse the effect and technically it's still being displayed correctly. but i have been fooled by what you're seeing as well... especially when all other effect types display Reverse as an attribute...
Bounce says it's related to reverse as it alternately flips the diagram. On other systems they relate to the sequence of a group of fixtures. Nothing seems to reverse the channel sequence. I.e. 1 2 3 4 4 3 2 1...
Is there a simple way to do this on linear effect? I'm trying to do as much as possible in relative mode to make future edits as simple as possible.
Ken are you just looking for the effect to run the opposite way? ie. 4,3,2,1 instead of 1,2,3,4. If so you don't need to make this change in the effect editor this can all be done with channel selection.
[4][Thru][1][Effect][1][Enter]
vs
[1][Thru][4][Effect][1][Enter]
I was hoping for a way of doing this that was independant of channel selection order.
Short answer is: you can't change the playback direction without modifying the channel selection.
Long answer is: I hear they're working on adding this.
