New 2.0.1 Bug and existing problem

Has anyone noticed that when switching control of master between an Eos devices, that lights flicker?

I'm running an Ion (master) and RPU (backup), ten Net2 nodes, and four Sensor + racks.  All devices have latest software.  I have 4 electrics with intelligent lighting.  When switching master control Eos devices, my intelligent lighting flickers.  I can't tell if this only affects my electrics or if this also affects my conventional lighting.  It's a very brief 1/10th second flicker.

I confirmed this issue with a touring broadway show this week that came into my theatre.  He was running an Eos (2.0.1), RPU with one Net3 show control gateway, several PRG network switches, and PRG nodes all running ACN.

I did not think about sending my show file or logs to ETC, but I will do that next week.

The second issue I've been having is one thats been present since the day I got the ION.  On occasion one of the fader wings won't display data.  It just says "Electronic Theater Controls".  I have seen this issue posted on the forum before, but I have never seen any solutions.  The wings are attached to the board via the side connectors.  All firmware is up to date.

  • ETC has been planning a re-work of the wing usage in the consoles for a while, not sure when it'll make it the masses,  What OS version are you running ?

That said there were known issues with wings (very early on) that were hard connected.

Any reason you don't do the USB separate power supply route instead ?, as far as I know that method has always been more stable.
