iRFR - WiFi

Hello,   On occasion I work in the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, IA.  Last Fall they installed a new EOS lt board.  The purchased an ETC remote focus unit.  I woujld like to bring in my own tablet w/software, because that small remote focus unit is cumbersome  and hard to read  (plus, I want to be able to have my own iRFR to work on other EOS line boards that I work with).

SO, the installed wireless remote seems to have a wireless router.  WOuld I be able to use that router to connect to the lt board?

  •  Hello,

Unfortunately the wireless receiver for the Net3 RFR does not work on the same protocol as regular WiFi- it has a specialized radio inside.  Apple, Android and Kindle devices are not able to speak in this same manner.  If you intend to use iRFR you will need a separate wireless access point or router in order to connect.

    Thank you,

    Sasha
