Profile Request: LeMaitre Gforce 3 w/Freeze Fog (Call for help...)

I've got a LeMaitre GForce 3 connected to their FreezeFog Pro chiller unit, and I'm in need of a fully functional profile for it.

I'm hoping this hazer is common enough that someone out there has already built a profile that works for this unit, because I've tried building one myself with what I can decipher from LeMaitre's manuals and I'm striking out.

The GForce3:

The Freezefog

And then there's this doc

which talks about different modes on the GForce, but doesn't actually give instructions on how to change them....

...help? We have them playing nice together when controlled manually, but i can't get them to behave with the profile configurations I've tried. Specifically, I need to be able to set a 2 second predelay.

  • Hi there,

As you're probably seeing, there isn't much to work with from the given documentation. But, here are a few recommendations:

According to the very brief spec about DMX, the three channels on the GForce3 are: Output, Smoke On Delay, and Aux. The manual doesn't give any solid indications (that I can see) as to what each channel does. Perhaps the DMX value is the time in seconds for a pre-delay? It looks like Output and Aux are a 0-99% level, but the delay isn't clear about what a DMX value would mean in seconds.

    - You can try to set the DMX level for a parameter by pressing // (which will display DMX)

    - Outside of a fixture profile, use Park to set addresses at particular levels to observe what they do. This may be a quicker way to establish each channel's function and ranges.

Have you tried contacting LeMaitre? Do they have any more detailed DMX specifications/charts?

    Thanks!

    Hans

  • Thanks for looking into it. I mocked up a profile with that configuartion (based on the basic fogger profile). It seems to be working, but now we're having problems with the fogger/freezefog communication. You win some, you lose some...
