Two Monitors

It's also worth mentioning that the VGA is 'paired' with one of the DVI outs on 2 port DVI Ions, so you need to use the VGA and the DVI next to it, not underneath.

Ahh that's great i didnt know that,

Will try that now, by unplugging the DVI am I going to mess up the touch screen?

So now I have plugged the DVI into the second DVI port on the desk, the VGA is one above and next to it and for some reason I still cant get the option (External Monitors) could it be the Monitor? 

Did you do as Ueli suggested?

Hit Displays > Exit then wait, you'll see 6 buttons, hit the one that says Settings.

At the bottom of the General tab is an option called Monitor Arrangement, tap this and you can then enable or disable monitors. This option is always there, even if no monitors are connected.

now you need a couple of touch screens and a hot magic sheet -

Not helping on this anymore but wanted to tell:

lately i had a third monitor (elo touch) added  to eos which then only displayed the encoder window. (also turned 90°  :| )

tried to fix it in settings but of course couldn´t, because eos didnt recognize the monitor as an extra one.

what finally helped was restarting the console without the third monitor, then plug it again while eos was running and then i could activate the elo in settings.

just in case anyone else might have this funny problem too.

I hate to bring this back up but its is so frustrating! because I had it working and its probably so simple to fix.

I shut down the desk and came back to it after a few weeks looking forward to seeing dual monitors and I have just got a blank screen?

I tried repeating the steps and still nothing.

I tried holding the tab and the right arrow buttons in playback status and still nothing.

I tried the expand key in playback status and still nothing

Anybody having similar troubles, or know how to resolve this? 

The monitor works fine, it comes on when I boot up the desk.

My setup is, touch screen on the DVI and my monitor on the VGA they are side by side. VGA on the top.

Could it be that the monitor is not up to the job? Do I need to get another monitor any help would be much appreciated.

Is your DVI connected to the DVI output under the VGA Output? 

This DVI output doesn't work if the vga above it is connected. You need

to then use the other dvi next to it.

No it's not.

I think I have the right configuration, just to be clear on my set up though, I have The DVI cable  connected to the single DVI port next to the VGA port but one below, if that makes sense. 

So DVI output is not connected above the VGA, but one along.  and I still can't get anything on the second monitor. When I test the monitor it works fine. I have also changed the VGA cable so its not the cable, its very odd.

Why is this? Any thoughts and ideas will be warmly received

 can you take a photo of the connections at the back of your console and post here -

and a second photo of your monitor settings in Setup? 

When IDENTIFY in Monitor Configuration window is pressed, which numbers are displayed on both monitors?

1 and 2.

if u see 1 on the first monitor and 2 on the second monitor, then 

everything is working. 

whats the problem? can u send me a photo?

when you start the console past the shell and one monitor stays empty, doesn't it say something like "to move content to this screen, use Tab and the arrow keys to move a tab to this screen"?
