Just out of curiosity: what console do you work on?

Personally, I'd rather see shift+# trigger macros. As a macro you could make shift+1 post "Address 1" if that is a key combination you frequently use. Subsequent digits would be echoed on the command line without getting into strange behaviours like waiting to post "Address ###" until all the shift key is released.

For me, the address key doesn't see much use once patching is done and shift+# would be more valuable for other purposes.

i am usually on an eos

encountered it on an ion....

Being on an Eos mostly i don't see benefit to firing Macros with shift.  Was just a thought.
