ML Controls - how to set the panel to appear when selecting ML channel.

I was stood behind a colleague operating their relatively new Ion/Geo desk configuration yesterday and noticed that the ML controls panel doesn't appear when he selects a channel with a valid ML or other attribute based fixture. I know ours does, but try as I might I couldn't find anywhere in the manual where it told me how to make that a default setting...

So - how do I do that?

  • The ML panel doesn't appear as default, you have to first place it on either an internal screen on a Gio/Eos/Ti or an external screen for any console.

    You can find the ML controls along with a whole load of other controls by going to Displays > Browser > Virtual Controls > ML Controls.

    You'll then get a screen with several options as to where you would like to put it. If you have internal screens you can place it at the top/bottom of the left screen and the top of the right screen. You can also place it in the CIA (bottom right) although it will then get hidden sometimes by the CIA. You can also place it on an external screen (tab).

    Thanks, but I know how to get it into the CIA, just can't remember what I did to make it pop up when I select a channel. Maybe it's just one of those options when initially selecting the location etc.

    I'll have him give it a try

    if you choose to have it in the CIA, you can click the start to make it your favorite. like this it will always appear, when you press [Displays] once. double tapping [Displays] will bring you to the browser.
