inverse [at]+[enter] ore look ahead

A very hulpfull command is the [at]+[enter] on the Ion consule. With this command I can get spot information out of the last cue. But is it also possible to get data from the next active cue, so I can quickly preset the spot?

most thanks in advance,

  • It sounds like you're trying to pre-position the lights before they come on in a cuelist, so while sk8ters_dad is absolutely right, I don't think this is what you actually want.

The Eos Family consoles give you some automated and semi-automated tools for pre-setting lights before they come on that make life much easier.
The term the console uses for this is "Marking":

    Automark:
If you turn on "Automark" in Setup > Show, your Ion will automatically pre-set your lights for every cue where the lights would otherwise move/change while coming on.
(You can of course tell it not to do this for specific cues if you want a live-move during a fade up)

    Manual Marking:
    (Not on Element)
With Automark turned off, you get full control of what marks where and when - so you can mark in any preceding cue of your choice.

Select Channels, {Mark} [Cue] # and [Record] this into the 'lights up' cue:

eg: While in the 'lights up' cue:
[Chan] x {Mark} [Cue] [Last] [Enter]

    - {Mark} is a softkey on Ion.

If you do your pre-setting using either of these, then every time you edit the 'lights-up' cue then the 'marking' or 'pre-setting' is automatically updated to match - as it's a reference to the 'lights-up' cue.

There are a host of extra things you can do with the Manual Marking, such as telling the console about 'good' cue for marking, and even asking the console to do it as early as possible!

See the Eos Family Teabreak Tutorials lessons 21 and 29 for an introduction to Marking, and Chapter 12 of the Ion v2.0.0 user manual for more details.
