iFRF with Gio and Sensor 3

The iRFR App allows remote control 

via a WLAN Access Point connected to 

an Eos Familie Console (including Gio)

and Congo/Cobalt Family Console. 

It cannot work stand alone in the network

without a console to control dimmers. 

So yes, if there is a WLAN Access Point connected to 

the Gio, the iRFR App can remote control the Gio. 

Could anyone tell me if there is a demo version of this app available for download, so that I may test it before I make a purchase request to management?

Unfortunately Apple don't provide such thing as a demo app on iOS. Your best bet would be to find someone who already has the app and try it out. Alternatively why not just purchase it yourself, the money goes to charity afterall!

There is a demo version -- iRFR Preview. This is very limited in its feature set, but will give you confirmation that the system's network is set up correctly and that you can connect to the console.

Ah yes! That won't allow you to control the rig etc, but it's certainly good for checking the connection as Hans suggests!
