[group][rec target] not the same as it was

Hi there

I've noticed with v1.3.1 if I type [group][preset][1][enter] it selects all ch's and params involved in the preset, but doesn't set them to the recorded values.  This also applies with the pallets.

Is this meant to be the case?  I've noticed the advantage is I can now go [goup][int pall][remdim] which is fantastic, but to set everything in the pallet to the value I have to enter [group int-pallet 900 int-pallet 900 enter].

Just want to confirm this is the correct syntax

Cheers

I noticed this the other day as well. You now need to use [Recall From], so [Recall From] [Preset] [1] [Enter].

I've just been playing with this though and it's not great with Intensity palettes as it puts the channels in at there recorded level but not in the intensity palette. To do this I still need to use the intensity palette twice.

    Thoughts Dan?

  • You are correct Nick, [RecallFrom Preset 1] should recall the levels as referenced data, so that it can be used anywhere you would have used [Group Preset 1], prior to 1.3.1.

In 1.4, we will change this so that it works that way.

  • The two workarounds I can think of to recall the entire preset or palette as referenced data are to use:

[Group Preset 1 Preset 1] -which technically selects the channels in preset 1 and then sets their levels to preset 1

or record a group X with all channels in it [1 Thru 5000 Record Group X] and use it to select everything

    [Group X Preset 1]

Both of these are because the basic syntax of [ChannelList Preset 1], recalls preset 1 as referenced data.
