laptop client

Hello all, at our theatre we are running an Eos (with the most up to date software) as a backup, and an RPU as a master.  We recently set up a wireless network to run the arfr on a tablet. All this has been the working great. We then purchased a new laptop and wanted to connect it as a client.

We can connect to the master and get out of mirror mode, (we have the dongle plugged in) we can flip through all the menus and pages, but we cannot type anything into the command line. We have tried this over a wired and wireless network with the same problem each time.

It's there a firmware update for these dongles that we missed? They have worked to client a computer in the past, but it has been awhile.

Any help would be much appreciated, I just hope it's not something super simple I missed. Or even a simple fix would be nice.

Thanks!

  • Hi Katie,

I had the same issue with a new Windows 8.1 tablet.

This was sorted out by downlaoding the latest driver for the client dongle from Sentinel´s website (thanks Anya!).

    ftp://ftp.cis-app.com/pub/hasp/Sentinel_HASP/Runtime_(Drivers)/6.60/Sentinel_LDK_Run-time_setup.zip

    All the best

    Christian

    By the way:

    There is one issue left:

Once I shut down Eos client (v2.0.1) and restart it I want to have the same tabs as before. But they are resetted all the time. Any idea?
