Sneaking something that is Captured seems to be different now

I think there is a behavior change on the way sneak and capture interact.  Previous to 1.3.1 if I used the capture button on parameter data in a channel, then used sneak on that channel, the channel would revert to the background or original cue or sub levels.  If I used sneak "globally" without specifing channels, then the data would not revert to the background levels after being modified and held by capture.  Now it appears that if there is a background level for the channels that I have captured in a cue and modfied from the cue, then a global sneak will revert those back to the cue levels.

So, I am not sure this is a new bug or just a correction on an old bug, but I liked it better the old way with sneak having a different effect on captured channels depending on the targets on the command line.

So, how is it supposed to work?

Thanks

Mike

  • This behavior was changed intentionally in 1.3.1. The problem we were trying to address was that if you have capture latch enabled [Capture Capture Enter], all your manual changes are automatically captured. In this case, it didn't make sense that [Sneak Enter] did nothing. We will discuss this further though to consider if that should only be the case for capture latch though.
