Tabs behaving strangely in Ion

Hey everyone,

The issue I'm having is when I change to another tab on one screen, it also changes tabs on the other screen.  For example, my left screen has Tombstone view (Tab 1) and a Magic Sheet (Tab 3).  My right screen has the Playback screen (Tab 2) and Direct Selects (Tab 4).  Sometimes I will flip over to the Direct Selects on the right screen and then flip back to the Playback screen.  When I flip back to the Playback screen, the left screen changes from Magic Sheet to Tombstone layout.  I then have to either recall the snapshot or select the Magic Sheet tab again.

Also, whenever I go into Blind and back to Live, I lose my screen configuration every time.  I will have my Magic sheet up on the left, go into Blind, go back to Live and I'm switched back over to Tombstone view.

So, my question is: is this normal behavior, is this a bug of some kind, or am I doing something wrong? 

Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

  • it's not a bug, it's a feature... i know... it took me some time to get used to it as well.

    playback status display and Live will always pull each other to the front, if they are on different screens.

    from what you're describing, you don't seem to have any channel objects in your MS at all. if you insert a channel object somewhere in your MS (even if out of view), the system will consider your MS a Live tab as well and pull this to the front when activating PSD.

    Yes, this helps.  The only thing is that I do have channel objects in my MS, so I'm confused there.  I'm used to switching back over to my preferred screen layout now anyway, so I will just have to live with it.  Thanks for your help!
