A Group of the Intersection of 2 Groups

Hi,

So I have been using a macro to generate a group of unused channels in a cue list

(Example: 1Thru 400 - Group Cue 1/ Thru Record Group 701).

This works great. I can do it on the second cue list as well, obviously, to generate a group (Group 702 in my world).

We are doing two shows in rep, so what I am really interested in is a single group that contains channels common to both groups (the intersection). I've tried to mess around with Query and the Is In syntax but it's not really suited to splitting differences (I keep wanting Group 701 Query Is In Group 702 to do something in this line, but alas).

I tried Group 701 - Group 702 Record Group 703 and then doing Group 701 - Group 703 but the negative inverse mask jiu-jitsu hurt my brain and seemed excessive. Does anybody have ideas on this (especially if it involves Query)?

It's funny, I was thinking about the uses of this earlier as well. It would be nice to get the intersection of the Cool Sidelight group and the down center group, for example, or the intersection of the truss 1 mover and the mac 700 profile group. Seems like an easy feature to implement

It's funny, I was thinking about the uses of this earlier as well. It would be nice to get the intersection of the Cool Sidelight group and the down center group, for example, or the intersection of the truss 1 mover and the mac 700 profile group. Seems like an easy feature to implement

A really kludgy way that might do it:

Group 701 Full

Group 701 - Group 702 Out

Select Active Record Group 703

It would be nice if Group 701 Query Is in Group 702 was valid syntax.
