Merge Patch Oddity

I loaded a show from Spring 2013.     When i loaded the show some of my K9's came on in Green and some in White (RGBW at Full).  No problem! Hit [Go] cues seem to function fine but [go to cue] [out] the white ones went out but the Green ones stay on.  Looked at the about screen showed they should be off (no value). And they were not parked

Now didn't take the time to examine closely  because it should have been the same patch as this year, though it might have changed slightly so i merged the patch from another show with current patch in it.  The lights stayed green.  Without saving the show i loaded the show i knew was good.  All worked great.  So reloaded old show.  Same issue with green lights.  (on only a few fixtures) Merged patch from known good show and still stayed green.  saved show and reloaded it and all works fine....

Just seemed odd time

on latest release version on the Eos.

  • Did you try importing the Fixtures from the old show.  Maybe the fixture profile in the new version is messed up.  ETC from time to time updates profiles.

    The library version in use at the point of a file save is stored to the show file for each fixture used in patch.  If we subsequently modify/correct the profile for a given fixture, that revision is not automatically applied when an older show file is opened.   If you go into Fixtures, from Patch, fixtures that have modified profiles from those stored in the show file are indicated.  It is the choice of the user to continue with the original mapping or update to the modified profile.   If you experience different fixture behavior when loading a show file stored on an earlier software version, please note the differences, save the log files and forward to ETC.
