AUTOMARK

I need an explanation of the rules that govern implementation of AUTOMARK. Let me explain what I would like to do.

I have a (actually I have 4) Source 4 with a City Theatrical DMX IRIS, a Broadway scroller and a Rosco ICue installed. I have patched these as a Compound Channel and I would like AUTOMARK to handle the moves, particularly Color and Focus. I have not been able to achieve this. Is there a way to make it happen? The patch is Intensity as Part1, Focus as Part 2, IRIS as PART 3 and Color as Part 4.

In setup, show settings, press the [AutoMark] button to enable automark. While it's enabled, any cue that has an intensity move from 0 to a non zero level will fade it's non-intensity parameters when the previous cue is run.

Dan,
I have read the Chapter on MARK/AUTOMARK and saw the bullet the says that AutoMark is based on the current setting during Playback. I have ensured that AutoMark was enabled for Playback but the problem I described still occurs. There must be something else that I am missing?

Dale, Dan tested compound fixtures and automark this morning to make sure nothing got pooched in software (sadly, this HAS been known to happen). It appears to be working fine. Can you email your show file, along with the channel/cues in question and we will take a look to see what's what? Please send to eos@etcconnect.com

Ann,

after all that, I can't reproduce the problem. Since I am brand new with the ION it is probably something I did wrong that I cannot identify. I'm sorry to have caused you and Dan extra work. The test show I just created works correctly so you can close this issue.
