VL770 and Ion question

Is there a way, that I must have missed, to set up a direct select using a static gobo and then another with a rotating gobo coming in behind?

I am assuming that the obvious answer is to set up beam palettes with each static and rotating gobo in the button, but I am trying to find a way to cut back on how many buttons I put on my magic sheet.

  • I haven't used this fixture, but I do this with VL2500 spots.  They have one rotating prism that I like to be able to put behind any of the static gobos.  That's what you're trying to do, right?

Get your fixture rotating a gobo the way you want it and record everything but the 1st gobo selection into a beam palette.  My keystrokes for this are as follows:

Channel #    IMAGE    -   (Push down on encoder labeled "Gobo select 1")    RECORD   BEAM PALETTE    1     ENTER

    Hope that helps!
