CMOS Settings wrong

Over the last few months I've noticed the time displayed on monitor is wrong.  I correct it in the settings and the next time I fire up the board it is wrong again.

This time on turning on ETC Ion the message CMOS Settings wrong CMOS Date/Time not set.  F1 setup F2 default.

The board is just over 12 months old.  Any suggestions?

  • The message means that the CMOS coin cell battery is exhausted, and so the clock isn't being kept running when the console is unplugged.

It's a standard CR2032 lithium coin cell that you can find in most places.

If you give your local ETC office a call with the console serial number we can talk you through replacing it or send you the instructions.
As this battery should last many years, we can also send you a replacement coin cell free of charge if you would like.
