offline files

I am needing to build a show file on my laptop. Haven't used the offline software yet on it. All my ION console show files are saved on an external drive the same way they are saved on the console. What's the correct way to bring all the files; shows, patches, magic sheets, etc. into the offline software just as it is on the external drive? I'm assuming it's through the shell setting maintenance restore.

  • Hi Jeff!

In the folder on your laptop where you installed the offline software, for example "C:\Programs\ETC\Eos\" on a windwows computer  there should be a folder "ShowArchive"

You can copy all files and folders from your Showarchive - folder on the external drive to this folder. All Information to a show is in a single showfile, so it should work. I practice this in that way and never had a problem.

    Servus, Reinhard

  • as long as it's a standard usb hard drive, you should be able to load from it directly. plug it in, wait some seconds to give it time to be mounted and then it will turn up in the browser in the File > Open dialog. choose a file from your external hard drive. you will get to a dialog with lots of tiles. those are categories you want to be loaded. by default all are grey ( = on ), ensuring that you get all your information. the only thing that's not loaded are the information from park.

but of course, for a more permanent solution (i.e. having your showfiles without the need for the external drive), just follow Reinhard's solution.
