Help - iRFR / aRFR is not connecting to Ion (but is to Gio)

Hi,

I've two desks and normally use our Gio as our primary (or sole) desk on the system. For my current show I've ended up putting in the Ion in as my primary and have had the Gio in as a designers desk in 'backup' mode, and will imminently be looking to put it away and will want to be able to control the Ion from our remote.

For some, probably obvious, reason I can't connect to the Ion but can to the Gio from our iRFR and aRFR remotes. I assume as both mobile devices can connect to the Gio they've got valid IP addresses etc.

I've checked the settings on both apps match up with the Name/IP of the Ion.

Any suggestions on what I might be missing?

thanks

  • You didn't say whether you get a "No entry" or signal bars.
    If you get no-entry then the problem is the IPs, routing or physical networking.

    If you have signal bars:

    • In the Shell > Settings > Network there is an option "WiFi Remotes" that must be enabled.
    • The Remote also need to be enabled in [Displays] {Setup}

    If either of those are turned off then i/aRFR connections will be refused.
