Magic sheet view macro

I like magic sheets a lot.  However, I have an older EOS, that does not have support for multi-touch gestures on it's built in touch screens, so navigating my magic sheet sans mouse is rather difficult. So my work around was to create about 7-8 views of the different sections of the magic sheet I want to see and assign macro 801 to be "{magicsheet} 1/ next" and macro 802 to be "{magicsheet} 1/ last".  The problem being that for some reason the EOS won't take the last/next syntax when dealing with magic sheet views.  It either takes me to view 1 or 2 but not backwards and forwards.  Is there something I'm missing or is there a fix to this?  Other than using the mouse or shift level wheel to zoom, is there any advice someone can give me on navigating magicsheets?  Help please, I really want to keep using magic sheets but am having trouble making them functional for my work.

    DING!!!  Thanks for getting my gears turning.  That was totally the answer.  I just made a set of view buttons that I copied to each view. Now I have a view control panel in each view. 

     

    New question, is there anyway to lock a target when copying an object?  By default a new copied object advances the target's number by 1.  There for if I want 8 versions of the same thing I have to go and "readdress" them back to their original target.  Make sense?

    If you group targets together you can copy them without changing their numbers.

    Thank you Patrick!  That totally did the trick.  I almost wish I could create an overlay that stayed present no matter what view I was in.  But this will work for now!

    Couple thoughts - 1) There is a plan in place to expand the Magicsheet target to include Tab # information, so you could put all your navigation and other overlay stuff in a separate frame and reliably changes the views of 2 or 3 related magic sheets that reside in different tabs.

    If you want it all in 1 sheet - here's what I do

    Take all you buttons that make up the "overlay" portion.  Group them together.  Use CTRL+C CTRL+V to copy them.   These will autospace vertically.  If you need them to space further apart you can add a blank object or 2 to the group to get the spacing right.

    Now you have little templates you can drop your other content into.  If at any time you need to alter what's in the "overlay" portion you can delete all of them except the top one.  Change the top one - regroup it and copy paste away.  As long as you dont change the overall dimensions of the group it'll all drop perfectly into place.
